For some, trying to give them something positive to vote for won’t be enough.
So here are a few key arguments against a Trump vote (or even worse: staying home).
Most recently: Trump is deliberately spreading lies and disinformation about hurricane relief activities for his own political gain rather than unifying and sharing ways for folks to help. This isn’t a surprise. When he was president, he hesitated to send wildfire relief to California until his aides could prove to him that people in Orange County actually voted for him. WTF, y’all.
A huge majority of senior staffers from his first administration are issuing dire warnings to the electorate about what a second term would mean for our democracy.
He is more interested in gaining favor with world dictators than governing and supporting Americans.
A vote for Harris/Walz is a vote for change, or as she says herself: For a new generation of leadership for our country. Trump wants you to think he’s going to change everything, but we know his plans. And they’re not looking good for most Americans.
His economic plans would be catastrophic, just like his last term.
Remember: Things were cheaper and taxes were lower while Trump was in office because we were still feeling the impacts of Obama’s economic policies.Trump gaslights his followers while planning to steal the election
He’s been clear in his threats and promises not to accept the outcome of a free and fair election.
His egregious, illegal and self-centered behaviors and incoherent speeches threaten how the US is perceived globally. Hear from past supporters who view him differently now.
He lies so much it’s almost impossible to keep up. But Politifact’s truth-o-meter tries.
